As you may know by now that there is a salmonella outbreak linked to 3types of raw tomatoes.
It reminded me the similar situation in Hong Kong when the people over there were fighting with SAR a couple years ago.
One of my sisters-in-law was there during that time. She told me this good trick which was highly recommended by the Hong Kong government back at that time.
Soak the raw vegetables into the salt water for 20 minutes before cooking and/or serving.
