Healthier & More Flavorful Lemonade

Time flies. It's the last week of August. That means summer is going to end soon. If you live in upstate NY, you will definitely know what I am talking about. You feel that morning and night time is cooler than usual. We have to treasure every moment of summer and the warm weather. One of the great drinks in summer time is lemonade. This is my version. Hope you will love it and enjoy it with the nice weather.

Ingredient
9 Small Lemons or 5 Jumbo Lemons (halved; juiced and saved for the lemonade)
3 Cups Sugar
3 Cups Water + 3 Quart

2 2-Quart Pitchers

Combine both sugar and water 3 cups for each into a saucepan
Bring it to a simmer or until all sugar is dissolved to make a simple syrup

Juice all the lemons
Divide both the juiced lemon and juice into halves for 2 pitchers
Put 1 cup of simple syrup into each pitcher
Fill up the pitcher with the water and allow about 1 ½” of room at the top
Stir the lemonade
Taste to adjust the flavor
If you want to add more syrup into the lemonade, add ¼ cup at a time
Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving

TIPS
The leftover syrup can be used at any time if you save it in the fridge or give it to your hummingbirds.
Pour the warm syrup on top of the lemons make them to release the citrus oil which is the main reason why this lemonade is so flavorful.
Use the simple syrup instead of adding sugar directly into the lemonade allows you having more control of the quantity of sugar.
